Ogallala Board of Health
Meeting
April 19, 2005
A meeting of the Ogallala Board of Health was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Chairman Paul Foy in the City of Ogallala Administration Building, 411 East Second Street, Ogallala, Nebraska. Members present: Dr. Paul Foy, Mary Lou Heelan, and Joe Humphrey. Ogallala Police Department Code Enforcement Officer Eric Troxel in attendance.
Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication in the Keith County News, the designated method of giving notice. Notice of the meeting was delivered to members of the Board of Health by hand delivery of an Ogallala Police Officer.
Mary Lou Heelan moved to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2005 Board of Health meeting. Humphrey seconded the motion. Voting Yes: Foy, Heelan, and Humphrey. Voting No: None. Motion Carried
Public Forum: Dr. Foy opened the public forum and invited any individual wishing to speak to the board to come to the podium. Dr. Foy advised that the Public Forum would remain open for the duration of the public meeting.
Discussion of Properties, Officer Troxel presented Code Enforcement Activity report for the months of February and March with special attention to Northwestern Trailer Court and the property at West 6th and C Street.
Discussion was held as to the best manner to handle the population of unwanted birds that migrate to trees within the city limits and present a possible health problem associated with the large amount of droppings left by the large population of the birds. It was the general consensus of the board members not to take any official action at this time.
No further business to come before the Board, Heelan moved to adjourn. Humphrey seconded the motion. Voting Yes: Foy, Heelan, and Humphrey. Voting No: None. Motion Carried
