Minutes

A meeting of the Ogallala Board of Health was called to order at 7:33 P.M. by Chairman Dr. Paul Foy in the City of Ogallala Administration Building, 411 East Second Street, Ogallala, Nebraska. Members present: Dr. Paul Foy, Mary Lou Heelan, and Acting Secretary Rod Kolsrud. Absent were Glen Silvius, and Dr. Kurt Johnson. Also present: Ogallala Police Department Code Enforcement Officer Eric Troxel.

Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication in the Keith County News, the designated method of giving notice. Notice of the meeting was delivered to members of the Board of Health by hand delivery of an Ogallala Police Officer.

A motion was made by Dr. Foy to approve the minutes of the September 20, 2005 Board of Health meeting; seconded by Heelan. Voting Yes: Dr. Foy, Mary Lou Heelan and Kolsrud. Voting No: None. Absent: Glen Silvius and Dr. Kurt Johnson. Motion carried.

Public Forum: Dr. Foy opened the public forum and invited any individual wishing to speak to the board to come to the podium. Dr. Foy advised that the Public Forum would remain open for the duration of the public meeting.

Discussion was held pertaining to properties of concern: Officer Troxel presented Code Enforcement activity for the months of August, September, and October.

Discussion was held regarding the property located in the 800 block of East 1^st. The Property was inspected by Officer Troxel and the violations noted were corrected by the property owners.

Discussion was held pertaining to the Tim Chandler property located at 201 South Spruce Street in Ogallala. The Police Department has had no response from Mr. Chandler regarding his property, and no acknowledgement of correspondence sent to him. Dr. Foy reported that he had talked with the Thalken Agency regarding a title search to verify ownership of the property. Officer Troxel was assigned to check with the Thalken agency to determine the status of the property ownership.

No further business to come before the Board, Mary Lou Heelan made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Kolsrud. Voting Yes: Dr. Foy, Mary Lou Heelan, and Rod Kolsrud. Voting No: None. Absent: Glen Silvius and Dr. Johnson. Motion Carried.

Meeting adjourned at 1946 P.M.
