Searle
Field, Ogallala’s municipal air field, has two paved and lighted runways
(5100 and 3700 feet), hangars, 100 LL fuel, tie down, VOR,
DME, VASI, and Unicom. Pilot controlled
lighting on 122.8 AWOS on 121.275. PAPI on Rwy 26/08 and VASI on Rwy
13.
Searle Field can serve corporate jets and offers 24-hour
access to on-site jet fuel and AV-gas. The fuel
is self-serve with any major credit card and is owned and operated by the
City of Ogallala.
Candy Aerotech, owned and operated by Mike Candy, has a contract with the
City of Ogallala to perform as the Airport Attendant. 24-hour
services offered include pilot's lounge, up to date computerized weather,
flight planning, and restrooms. During regular business hours, rental car
services and overnight hangar storage is also available.
In addition, Candy Aerotech offers major and minor air
craft repair to air frame and power plant, aircraft washing and detailing,
and service to aviation breathing oxygen. Major credit cards
accepted include Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.
Candy Aerotech operates Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5:00PM.
