Ogallala Public Transit is local transportation for residents and visitors in the city of Ogallala.  The service area is up to one mile outside city limits.  Fares double for any trips outside of city limits.  For instance, a ride from the airport, Searle Field, is $2.00 per person instead of the usual fee of $1.00. 

We serve all age groups, from preschool (age 4 minimum) on up.  Infants and children up to age 4 must be accompanied by an adult.  Child restraints and seats are available in the vehicles. 

Parents and daycare providers are finding this a very handy service for transporting their children to school, preschool, activities, and daycare.  We are also available to take children to summer activities and to the swimming pool, library, or sporting events. 

A 2-hour notice for a ride is requested for scheduling, however, we try to accommodate even last minute calls if possible. 

Donations have been made to provide free transportation for our older citizens to the Keith County Senior Center for meals and activities. 

Vehicles are wheelchair lift equipped, and special consideration is given for the needs of the elderly and disabled. 

Rides are from curb to curb and are on a first come, first served basis.
